A Leap Year, but I Didn't Leap Away!

Well, I haven't posted for such a long time and much has happened over the past many months. I'm still on my journey to surprise my Mom with a house, but as you can see I'm not exactly speeding to the finish line. That is my fault, for not pushing ahead, even as things were happening here. My Mom and Grandma both had trips to the emergency last year in September, and I didn't want to post about it on here because I didn't want donations to come in because of that. It was strange how it all happened so close together. Life is precious and you have to enjoy the time you have with your family, while you have it. My Mom has done a lot for me so hopefully I can do something for her.

All is not lost with the House For Mom drive. I received another donation and I've added some more myself. We're up to $1752.38! If I can do that 86 more times I'll be at my goal. I'm going to try some new things over the next month or so to try and push that total up quicker. I'll talk to you all soon, if you're still out there reading this ;-)

Take Care and Call Your Mom to tell her your care :-)

The $1500 Mark

After I posted the last post, I added to the total and I notice we have passed the $1500 mark in donations. WOW! THANK YOU EVERYONE!

I know I could have just edited the last post and posted this but I felt it deserves it's own post. Thank you to the person for putting us over the $1500 mark.

Just think that my goal is somewhere around the $150,000 mark. We're at $1500. I just need that 100 more times. You're thinking I got that in about a year so it'll take 100 years to reach. We'll I'm an optimist so I believe the next $1500 will come faster and the one after that even faster and the one after that...well you get the idea.

I really hope I'll be able to take this to another level and make this a regular thing for single Moms out there. Maybe a house every year. Maybe more.Maybe there will be publicity for this that will shoot it to the stars. You never know what could happen. Heck maybe there will be one person that donates for a whole house. You know how Oprah gives away cars. Maybe someone will want to give away a house on behalf of House For Mom.

Ok..Sorry for rambling on there. I wanted to post about the $1500 mark and I carried on and on. Thanks again for putting us over the $1500 mark. I hope to hear from you soon!

Take care,
Andrew

Purchase of 30 random squares on One Million Blog Faces

Hello all,

I'm sorry I haven't posted in so long. With everything that's going on it's hard to keep up with everything. I received a nice surprise a couple of days ago as someone purchased 30 random squares at One Million Blog Faces. I haven't received their blogs yet though and I'm not sure if it was intended entirely as a donation or not. Either way it's very much appreciated and if it is a donation that's very generous of them to do that for me and ultimately my Mom.

I sent them an email to thank them and ask if I can make a post with their name. I don't want to do it if they prefer to remain anonymous as some have chosen to.

Thanks again to this person and I hope to hear from you soon.

Take Care all,
Andrew

1 Year

So it's been 1 Year since I started this journey and you're probably wondering where I've been. Certain things happen in life that are out of our control but I just want you all to know I'm alright. I don't want sympathy so I'll just leave it at that.

I have also received a generous donation from a friend who wishes to remain anonymous. Their $500 donation has boosted the total well over $1000. They wanted to give me a boost on the 1 year anniversary of starting this and get my spirit back into this after these past few months.

I may not be able to update as often as I can but I'll try my best. I appreciate everyone who has donated todate and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I just wanted to post and let you know where we stand.

Take Care!

New Game Site Name - FunCityGames.info

The games site is now called FunCityGames.info

and the Add Free Games page is located at FunCityGames.info/addfreegames.html

I figured it would be somewhat easier for people to remember and it's something I should have done from the start. With people using the links for their websites and MySpace comments etc., having OneMillionBlogFaces.com as the site name didn't make sense. I changed the links in the blogs already although the old links still work. You don't have to go back and edit your posts or comments, but start using the new links. You might want to change the links on your main pages though.

The games are being played quite a bit now and I hope you're all having fun with them. I hope you all agree naming the game site was the thing to do.

Thanks for reading and thanks for playing the games.

Take Care and Have Fun!
Andrew

Hey Oscar, Did You Thank Your Mom?

Hello everyone I hope you all had a great weekend!

I was talking to someone about The Oscars today, although I didn't watch them myself, and I asked if the winners thanked their Moms. They said they couldn't remember but thinks most didn't. How hard is it to simply thank your Mom? It's a three letter name! I know they are probably nervous and their minds sometimes go blank on stage with a billion or so people watching from around the world. It's not often you get a chance to thank your Mom in front of a billion people. I'm sure their Moms called them soon after to congratulate them and tell them how proud they are of them. Moms don't ask for much. They don't ask for anything at all. They always give their love and support. So on behalf of all those that may forget to say it...

THANKS MOMS!!!
